Vineyard Block estates has been starting a huge movement of offering great wine from famous appellations at excellent values. They first scored big with Block 713 Cabernet from Stag’s Leap then had another winner by releasing Block 823 Cabernet from St. Helena. Now they are taking a step into the world of Merlot coming from the Oakville appellation in Napa Valley. So many award winning Merlot varietal wines have come from there.

The grapes for their Block 213 Merlot come from Napa Valley’s exclusive Oakville District , where well-drained soils and long warm days combine for near perfect growing conditions. Lush and mouth coating, their Block 213 Merlot is a marvel of layered flavor and texture. Ripe cherry, blackberry and perfumed vanilla highlight the silken mid-palate before giving way to the subtle and lingering toasted oak finish.
This wine is sure to be another great hit among the numerous wine drinkers that have become fans of their previous selections. We at The Wine Buyer gave this wine 92 points. Try a bottle of this wine and let us know what you think. This is the Merlot that is sure to make the Producers of the movie “Sideways” rethink the script they wrote.
