This Cabernet was blind tasted by a number of our Wine Buyers against the Stags Leap Artemis and this wine won, hand down! The only caveat is that this is a young wine with strong aging potential so if you want to drink it now you should decant it and let it breathe for at least an hour. It’s hard to find high quality Stags Leap Cabernet at anywhere near this price! Enjoy!
This American Viticultural Area is located in the Napa Valley, north of the town of Napa and along the Silverado Trail. It is named for an outcropping of red rock where a stag supposedly leaped across a wide gap to escape his pursuers. The area is known for producing excellent Cabernet Sauvignon.
The Wine Buyer Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon offers exactly what you would expect from this great district. Powerful flavors of berries, plum and cassis are evident. The mouthfeel is big and round with a burst of chocolate and a surprising mix of vanilla, cinnamon and spice. We urge you to enjoy this masterpiece with a rack of lamb, porcini crusted beef tenderloin or your favorite pasta with red sauce. Score: 94.
